W South Beach Miami Beach

The W occupies an amazing location on Collins Avenue and 22nd Street. It is a 10-minute walk into the shops, restaurants and clubs across Lincoln Road and it is surrounded by some of the glitziest resorts in Miami.

Style & personality

The public areas of W South Beach are complex and enjoyable on a huge scale. The entry lobby has huge brass displays, Mongolian fur-covered seats, giant purple leather poufs and Damien Hirst and Jean-Michel Basquiat artworks on turning among other modern masters. The labyrinthine poolscape provides inspired lounging in a lush, expansive backyard.

Service & amenities

Authentic to the brand, the resort boasts a “Whatever/Whenever” 24-hour support coverage. Pets are welcome and the amenity list is striking: rooftop tennis and basketball, Bliss spa along with a huge pool using a clubby vibe.

From the 408 chambers, the result is much less nightclub and much more relaxed luxurious, with cool white and gray interiors, mirrored stripes and surfaces. Each room features a balcony overlooking the shore, a kitchenette, Bose sound system, Bliss toiletries, Wi-Fi and docking station. Bathrooms are large and modern with spacious marble countertops.

Food & beverage

The Dutch restaurant serves a remarkably refreshing and diverse menu of American cuisine with an emphasis on fish and homemade pasta. Even though the menu’s continuously shifting, perennial favorites contain anything from yellowtail crudo into pappardelle with lamb ragu and ricotta. A breakfast buffet is served from #16. Mr. Chow serves haute Chinese cuisine in an opulent atmosphere. To get a pre-dinner beverage, it will not get a whole lot more hip than Living Room that provides professionally mixed cocktails along with a buzzy audience. Wall is a DJ-fuelled hotspot for late-night revelry in a romantic setting.

Double rooms from #425 in low season; climbing to #580 at large. Breakfast excluded. Free Wi-Fi.
