Location

The hotel is excellently located on Hverfisgata Street, that is designated as Reykjavik’s first Green Road, and is a short stroll from buzzy high street Laugavegur and its related string of stores, cafes and pubs. The enchanting and increasingly stylish harbour area can be just down the street, as is the related Harpa Concert Hall and Convention Centre.

Style & personality

The resort includes six inter-connected houses which were originally constructed among Iceland’s best selling furniture factories, in performance from 1937-1963. Recently it had been used among city’s hottest cultural and music places, Faktory, and the inside was revived with nods to neighborhood style, culture and food: there is Icelandic Omnom chocolate available, water filtered by Icelandic lava, and a library specialising in biblical literature.

Service & amenities

The reception, that doubles as a concierge assistance, is good at providing tips on excursions, making suggestions and bookings for restaurants and theaters, and may also rent out bicycles at no cost. Whilst there isn’t any onsite health spa, the 24-hour exercise centre has rowing machines, weights and yoga mats also there is an occasion space on web site for meetings.

The café also houses an LP library with over 1,000 files, that are offered for visitors to play on 10 of their on-property record gamers.
