Les Jardins de Loïs Beaune
A five minute walk from the famous Hospices de Beaune, yet blessed with the extensive garden, the Jardins de Lois creates a great base for exploring both the city and the surrounding countryside. The owners also make their very own (tasty) wine.
Design & personality
Homely and incredibly friendly. It is small, romantic and family-run — the ideal place to unwind after a long day’s sightseeing.
Service & facilities
The owners, Anne-Marie and Philippe Dufouleur, are cautious hosts and will go out of the way to provide you with great information.
The Jardins de Lois’s biggest attraction is also its biggest drawback — it’s modest. There are 3 bedrooms and one suite. All these are nicely made and decorated with design. All have ensuite baths. Book early.
Food & beverage
No evening meals are served in the Jardins de Lois, however this isn’t a problem because Beaune has scores of above-average restaurants. Very good lunches are served. The owners can provide you with a free (and enlightening) wine tasting in their basement.
